User Guide
- DOWNLOAD THE APP AND REGISTER
If you don’t have the Urban Connect app on your smartphone, you can download it from the Apple Store or Google Play Store and register with your work email address. 
- RESERVE THE PORSCHE TAYCAN
Open the app and choose the dates and times you would like to book.
- ADD PAYMENT METHOD
Before your very first booking has been made, you will be asked to enter your credit card information.
- UNLOCK THE PORSCHE WITH YOUR SMARTPHONE
To start your booking go to “my reservations” in the UC App.
- BEFORE THE TRIP
Check the Porsche for damage before driving and report it via the UC app if necessary. Otherwise, you may be held liable for the unreported damage.
- END CHARGING – REMOVE THE CHARGING CABLE
If the Porsche is charging, end charging before driving away.
1. Press the unlock button next to the charging port.
2. Pull the charging cable out of the car and hang it back on the hook.
- START THE PORSCHE
1. Ensure the car key and the Swisscharge card is in the glove box inside the vehicle.
2. Click on the power button behind the left side of the steering wheel to turn the car on.
3. Hold down on the brake and put the car into Drive. The gearshift is a small lever located just below the dashboard.
- ADJUSTMENTS
Driver seat: Use the buttons on the left side of the seat.
Mirrors: Using the buttons on the driver’s door, you can select left/right external mirror, and adjust it using the arrows. There is also a button to fold in the mirrors.
Steering wheel: Push the lever on the left-hand side of the steering wheel down. Adjust the steering wheel. Then push the lever back up.
Lights: The exterior lighting is set to AUTO. Exterior lights automatically turn on.
- WINDSREEN WIPERS
The windscreen wipers should come on automatically as it begins to rain. If not, lift the lever on the right-hand side of the steering wheel to turn them on, and to control their speed. Click the button on the side of the lever to turn on the rear window wiper.
- DURING THE TRIP
Important! Please use the car key in the glove box to open and close the Porsche during your booking.
- CHARGING ON THE ROAD The navigation will automatically guide you to a supercharger if it calculates that the car does not have enough battery to make it to your destination. You can also search for nearby charging stations in navigation under the charging station symbol.
- AFTER THE TRIP
Return the Porsche to the designated parking spot and click the P beside the gear shift to Park. Hold down the power button for a few seconds to turn off the vehicle. The parking brake will automatically be activated.
- START CHARGING
1. To open the car’s charge port (on either side), have the keys nearby and swipe your hand along the underside of the flap right beside the charge port.
2. Grab the charging cable from the station and plug it into the port. If there is no charging cable, you can use the cable in the trunk.
3. To begin charging, use the Swisscharge card inside the glove box, and please return it when you are done using it.
- DO YOU HAVE ALL YOUR PERSONAL ITEMS?
Important! The key and the charging card must be put back in the glove box in the card holder. Please return the Porsche clean and in the same condition as you received it!
- LOCK THE PORSCHE WITH YOUR SMARTPHONE
End your booking with the UC app. The car can only be locked when the ignition is switched off (once there are no warning lights in the display).
